Megan McNamara and Nicole McNamara of Tsawwassen have started a skincare and cosmetics company called Face Club.

Mark Booth, a sports editor, was named B.C. School Sports’ Media Person of the Year.

The Delta Council has recently made significant changes to their bylaws, aiming to make it easier for secondary suite owners. These changes include the removal of various barriers such as the elimination of suite rental permits, rental permit license fees, and penalties. Additionally, the general manager of development now has the authority to issue and revoke occupancy permits and approve decommissioning work.

The six-story mixed-use housing project, featuring condos on the upper floors and commercial space and parking on the lower levels, was approved to be built on the former Dunbar Lumber site, which is located at the intersection of Bridge and Elliott streets.

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Delta Community Living Society (DCLS) and researchers from the University of British Columbia will work together to help high school-aged individuals with autism or developmental disabilities get the help they need early on and increase their chances of finding gainful employment.

The council granted approval for a Heritage Revitalization Agreement and development permit for the Olaf Stokkeland Residence in the 11000-block of River Road, subsequent to a public hearing last year.

The Delta Film Academy, which was housed at the Delta Manor in Ladner, will not be operational for the 2024–25 school year, according to the Delta School District.

Dastaan Modern Indian Cafe and Bistro will be opening its doors on April 28th at 14989 Marine Dr. White Rock.
