DELTA

Scott Stoilen announced that he is now a Full Member (TEP) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

The redevelopment application for the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall is set to be discussed at public information meetings that the City of Delta has arranged for February 20, 26, and 27.

Application forms for the Ladner Village Market‘s 2025 season are now available, according to the City of Delta. This year, the market will undergo a trial run of various adjustments.

Following the first round of the EOI process, the City of Delta received five Expressions of Interest (EOI) submissions for a tourist accommodation in Ladner Village. The City’s Ladner Village Revitalization Staff Task Force will evaluate and score the EOIs based on the developer’s reputation and experience, how well they align with the community’s vision, and the proposed operating model and value for Delta.

At their fifth annual Art for Autism fundraiser, the Reach Child and Youth Development Society showcased a diverse collection of original artwork on February 10. The artwork was created by members of various art groups and organizations, including the South Delta Artist’s Guild, South Delta Artisans, North Delta Potters Guild, Delta Potters Association, White Rock Art Walk, Vancouver Art Gallery, S. Surrey & White Rock Art Society, and renowned individual artists.

This award is in recognition his business growth and innovation, as well as his commitment to mentorship and relationship-building.

On Monday, February 3, the Langley Township council decided to donate the $55,000 proceeds from the Holiday Lights In Williams Park event to the Aldergrove Food Bank for the next five years.

The Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB) has released a new report indicating a significant surge in Abbotsford home listings this January, particularly in the detached home category.

Joanne Holland, Event’s Coordinator at the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce, will transition to a new position as the new Membership Coordinator.

Plans for a five-story facility with private rooms for residents as well as social and recreational areas in the 9000 block of Mary Street are currently in the procurement stage of pre-construction for a new long-term care facility in Chilliwack that will replace the Bradley Centre.

PITT MEADOWS 

Janine Davies has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.

Pitt Meadows plans to replace the Kennedy Drainage Pump Station, which regulates the flow of water from Katzie Slough into the Pitt River, and the city is seeking $3 million to finance the project.

 

MAPLE RIDGE

George Jecminek, a partner at MNP LLP‘s Maple Ridge office, has been honoured with the CPABC Early Achievement Award.

The Royal Canadian Legion’s BC/Yukon command has announced that Maple Ridge veterans John Vanderelst and Tom Gardener have been presented with the King Charles III Coronation medal.
