Dean Moore Makes BV Printers A Name To Remember In Smithers And Beyond With A Father-Son Legacy And Good Old-Fashioned Hard Work
SMITHERS – Bulkley Valley Printers has a history in Smithers reaching all the way back to 1972, when Dinty Moore began his work on a Heidelberg Letterpress. Dinty began a family tradition of fine printing done locally, with a high-quality standard of service passed down to his son, Dean Moore.
“I’ve worked in the printing industry for thirty-two years, “Explains Dean. “After graduating from the VCC Print Production Course in 1989, I was employed by my dad in his print shop until I bought it in 1999.”
From there, BV Printers was born.
While the technology has most certainly changed and evolved, the pride in quality service and old-fashioned values imparted by his father, who continues plying his trade in the company’s bindery to this day, have remained a centerpiece of the company under Dean’s ownership.
“The value of hard work and a handshake still means a lot to us here.”
BV Printers offers a variety of services, from printing, scanning, graphic design, bindery and finishing, as well as lamination and mounting. They also offer a number of products, including promotional printing, various stationery, business forms, large format printing, point-of-sale items, office supplies, scrapbooking materials, invitations and announcement materials.
