VICTORIA – Coders of all skill levels are invited to attend BattleSnake 2018 at the Victoria Conference Centre on Saturday, March 3.
In its fourth year, BattleSnake is British Columbia’s largest coding competition. This year represents the biggest event yet with more than 500 coders at all skills levels coming together to have fun.
The BattleSnake tournament is a multiplayer version of the classic arcade game Snake. Teams have one day to program their Snake with artificial intelligence. In the evening, each team’s snake competes against multiple teams in their level per round, until one snake is left.
BattleSnake was created to bring developers together in a friendly, co-operative environment and encourage the tech and startup leaders of tomorrow. Cash prizes totaling over $11,000 will be given out to the top performers.
The event is hosted by one of Victoria’s hottest growing martech startups, Sendwithus. This startup received their Series A funding this past fall and are a big supporter of the startup and tech community in BC.
