DELTA
After closing a $35 million financing from a group of investors that includes Mitsubishi Corp., Asahi Kasei Corp., InBC Investment Corp., Orion Industrial Ventures, and Export Development Canada, Mangrove Lithium, a cleantech company based in British Columbia that was listed among the top 100 by the Cleantech Group last year, announced plans to construct a new lithium refining plant in Delta.
The City of Delta is the recipient of $14.2 million in federal funding through the Housing Accelerator Fund which will support several new initiatives designed to address the housing crisis.
The City of Delta is seeking bids for site preparation and installation for a playground expansion outside the North Delta Recreation Centre.
The Council has approved a new grant for the Royal Canadian Legion in Ladner. This organization has previously received two grants: one for $3,750 for repainting the Nicolich Residence on River Road West, another for $12,495 for repainting the Ladner United Church on 48th Avenue, and a third for $27,000 for installing an exterior lift at the Royal Canadian Legion on Delta Street.

King George Boulevard in Surrey will soon be served by Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
