DELTA
The Government of Canada and the City of Delta have reached an agreement to accelerate the construction of 424 new homes in the next three years, paving the way for a total of 4,100 homes to be built over the next decade. The second round of the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) has led to a $14.2 million agreement focused on eliminating barriers to speed up housing construction.
Seascapes Lounge is opening soon on B.C. Ferries’ Spirit-class vessels, taking the place of the Pacific Buffet. The restaurant will have a $6 entry fee and will operate on routes between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen, just in time for the summer season.

The Pitt Meadows council has pre-approved the following priority capital projects: $6.7 million to continue the construction of two artificial turf fields and parking at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park; $4.5 million to continue the construction of a multi-sport box and field house at PMAP; $4.4 million for the Heron’s Nest child care facility; $400,000 for park playground upgrades; $950,000 for arena building and equipment upgrades; $905,00 for excavator replacement; $357,000 for repaving Rannie Road; and $243,000 for the replacement of desktop and laptop computers.
TransLink has announced the addition of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations at Haney Place Mall, 216th, Laity, 207th, and 203rd Streets in Maple Ridge. The route will feature a total of 13 stations.
