VICTORIA – A successful, long-time B.C. development company has chosen a new PATH.
PATH is the new name of the award winning company PCRE Group along with its subsidiary GableCraft Homes. The group, based in Victoria and Vancouver, has a solid two-decade track record and is currently spearheading one of Vancouver Island’s largest master-planned communities at Royal Bay, a 240-acre master-planned seaside community in Colwood.
The strategic move to rebrand unifies the two names PCRE (Pacific Capital Real Estate) and GableCraft, reflecting the company’s vision while also building on a proud foundation that has been established over the past 20 years.
“PATH represents a new look but the same dedicated approach that we have demonstrated over the past two decades,” says President and CEO Jason Zaytsoff. “We build communities and create places where families grow, neighbors connect, and memories are made.
“Our commitment to our homeowners, residents, and tenants isn’t just business, it’s personal, and it’s what drives us forward every day – with our Royal Bay development serving as the latest example of our expertise and dedicated approach.”
PATH (and its PCRE Group predecessor) have been building residential, purpose-built rental, light industrial, and retail developments in B.C., Alberta and Washington state since 2003. PATH has a proven track record with over 12,000 homes completed, a number of successful commercial projects delivered, and 2,500 homes currently in development.
Current PATH projects are highlighted by Royal Bay, a complete community designed to meet residents’ lifestyle, housing, and recreational needs, providing them with a place to establish strong roots and meaningful connections.
Graced with stunning landscapes, thoughtfully designed neighbourhoods, and safe, walkable streets, Royal Bay is a seaside community where good living comes first.
Active projects at Royal Bay are listed as Quarry Villas, Echo Townhomes, Producers Rowhomes, Southland single family homes, Eliza Condos and Easton Townhomes.
Past projects on Vancouver Island include four in Nanaimo, including Metral Station, Wellington Court, Crescent View and Summerhill, and in Comox, Murrelet Place and Lancaster Way. In Vancouver and the lower mainland, there’s Hemlock Station, the Art Institute and Renfrew Centre in Vancouver, and in Burnaby, Lake Centre.
Their projects span a broad range of housing options, and commercial spaces, including shopping centres.
“With millions of square feet of development experience under our belts, we consistently deliver strong investment returns while opening doors to exciting new possibilities for buyers, renters and business owners,” says Zaytsoff. “Throughout our development process we work hard to reduce our carbon footprint, we are currently focussed on delivering fully electric condo and rental buildings and are working with our suppliers on innovative, low waste build techniques.”
He adds that PATH designs with their clients in mind—families, retirees, individuals or investors – and focus on their needs and dreams. They create meaningful spaces that perform well, and are built on integrity, fairness and their network of loyal partners. Because of their years of experience, they make intelligent choices for the future, prioritizing quality over shortcuts and adapting to what’s next for the communities they build in.
“We are forging a PATH to enrich life at every stage and our ultimate goal each and every time is to create communities that are more than places to live, they’re places people love,” Zaytsoff continues. “We envision homeowners making memories in the neighborhood and residents finding the comfort and support to age in place. At every step, we’re committed to fostering success, connection and lasting value for everyone who calls our communities home.”
