Project: A commercial plaza with three buildings totalling 20,000 sf. Includes a 10,350 sf dollar store, a 2,250 sf coffee shop with drive-thru, and 7,500 sf of space for six CRUs.

Stage: Development permit application advanced to a public hearing in December 2024 to address removing a roundabout requirement on Ludlow Ave as a condition of project approval. The development permit was approved in September 2022, with an original rezoning and OCP amendment approved in June 2021.

 

NANAIMO – 319 Eighth St (multi-family new) Townhouses

Project: Development includes 13 buildings, each three storeys, with 68 townhouse units and 149 parking stalls on a 2.5-acre site.

Stage: The rezoning application was submitted in December 2024 to rezone from Single Dwelling Residential (R1) to a new zone facilitating multi-family development.

 

PARKSVILLE 1225 Franklin’s Gull Rd (multi-family new) Affordable Housing – Apartments

Project: Affordable housing development with 36 units in a 4-storey building on a .51-acre property. Includes 33 parking stalls and unit sizes as follows: 18 one-bedroom units (545 sf), 15 two-bedroom units (770 sf), and three three-bedroom units (950 sf).

Stage: Rezoning application with an OCP amendment approved in December 2024. The rezoning application was initially submitted in March 2024.
