Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon has launched a province-wide 50/50 raffle campaign to support families with seriously ill children, with a fundraising target set at $250,000. The winner will collect half of this amount, while the rest will go directly to supporting the Family Rooms at Surrey Memorial Hospital, which provide a vital space for families to stay close to their children receiving urgent medical care.

Council approved the Kothari Group project, which consists of 140 apartments that must be rented for at least 30 years, with 28 of them being below-market rentals for at least 20 years. The building is located on the northwest corner of Beacon Avenue West and Highway 17.
