The sale of South Point Pet Hospital, situated at 108-2828 152nd Street in Surrey, was handled by William Wright Commercial on July 31st. In the agreement, the company and the 2,843-square-foot strata unit it was located in were sold for $1 million and $4.1 million, respectively.
Surrey council has given the green light for over $10.65 million in road construction contracts. This includes the design and construction of arterial widening on 72 Avenue between 144 and 152 Street, awarded to AtkinRéalis Canada Inc. Additionally, the project involves widening 140 Street from two lanes to four between 88 and 92 Avenues, which has been contracted to Jack Cewe Construction Ltd.

CHILLIWACK
The Chilliwack Arts and Cultural Centre Society has received a boost in its ability to host movie screenings, corporate meetings, and seminars. A grant of $11,916.77 from the Chilliwack Foundation last year has been utilized to acquire laser projectors and a portable PA system for the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
Through the Disaster Risk Reduction – Climate Adaptation initiative, the province has announced that 65 communities in B.C. will receive an estimated $56 million for 78 projects from the Community Emergency Preparedness Fund (CEPF). Harrison Hot Springs is scheduled to receive $5 million to upgrade the dike along Harrison Lake.
All Roads Construction Ltd. will be awarded the tender for the 2024 Asphalt Rehabilitation for nearly $1.5 million, according to the City of Chilliwack‘s recommendation for council approval at the meeting on September 24.

The Heritage Tea event made its comeback at the Pitt Meadows Museum on September 21st, marking its first occurrence since the pandemic.
