LANGLEY CHAMBER: FEEDBACK FOR CITY OF LANGLEY’S “TRANSPORTATION 2050” PLAN

September 17, 2024

CORY REDEKOP

LANGLEY – The City of Langley is developing a new transportation plan: Transportation 2050 Plan,  a long-term strategic vision aimed at improving transportation for the entire community. As Langley grows, so do its transportation needs, and this plan will guide the City in the future.

A strong transportation network is critical for local businesses. It ensures that goods and services are delivered smoothly and that employees can easily get to work. Whether you walk, cycle, roll, drive, or use public transit, this plan will impact everyone.

As the City moves toward finalizing the draft plan, the Chamber encourages local businesses to provide your input to the final survey, open until October 3.

The Langley Chamber supports a robust transportation network, and in these types of plans encourages governments to ensure sufficient transportation options exist and are effective for businesses and workers, including accounting for the smooth movement of goods and services through and within the City, facilitating the receiving of deliveries and inventory by businesses, and supporting workers getting to and from employment.

Your feedback will help shape the future of our roads, transit systems, and active transportation options.
