LANGLEY – The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce has announced the official call for nominations for the 2024 Langley Business Excellence Awards, a prestigious recognition program that aims to highlight, promote, and celebrate the exceptional achievements of Langley’s diverse business community. Local residents and businesses are encouraged to submit online nominations for local businesses and non-profits that are achieving great things in either Langley Township or Langley City.
For over a quarter century, the Langley Chamber has handed out the Langley Business Excellence Awards to recognize top Langley businesses and entrepreneurs, and to help raise the profile of the diverse and successful Langley business community. The awards were originally created as part of an economic development strategy over 25 years ago, and have grown each year, with 2023’s awards being the largest ever.
“We are thrilled to be opening nominations for this year’s Langley Business Excellence Awards and to be continuing this tradition of recognizing the best of Langley business,” said Cory Redekop, CEO of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce. “Langley is the fastest growing part of the region, and we have a thriving business community here. These awards provide an opportunity to highlight some of those success stories and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Langley business.”
Nominations are open until August 2 for the eight award categories that represent different aspects of business excellence. Nominations can be easily submitted online through the Chamber’s dedicated award website.
The award categories for the 2024 Langley Business Excellence Awards include:
Entrepreneurial Excellence Award
Environmental Leadership Award
Charitable or Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award
Langley Community Spirit Award
Employer of the Year Award
George Preston Memorial Business Person of the Year
Business of the Year Award (Up to 24 employees)
Business of the Year Award (25 or more Employees)
Nominees will be contacted and invited to submit a formal judging package, which will help determine the shortlist of finalists. The winners will be announced and presented live at the prestigious Langley Business Excellence Awards Gala on October 24th.
