The Township of Langley is aware and supports initiatives to have more fibre optic network installed in our neighbourhoods.
Who is Fibre Connect?
Fibre Connect is a new telecommunications company working with TELUS on an expansion of the fibre network to provide Township residents and businesses with access to high-speed internet. Fibre Connect is registered with the Canadian Radio-Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) who is the regulatory agency overseeing telecommunication companies in Canada.
Who is Ledcor Technical Services?

They are a construction company who designs, builds, and maintains communication services across Canada and United States. Visit Ledcor’s website for more information on who they are and what they do www.ledcor.com.
Why are they doing this now?
The installations are being done now by Fibre Connect and their contractors, so you and future residents and businesses have the option to access fibre optic technology and services such as high-speed internet if desired.
What is the Township’s role in this?
The Township has signed an agreement with Fibre Connect and is working with Fibre Connect and Ledcor to facilitate this infrastructure upgrade by reviewing drawings and providing necessary permits for placement of telecommunications infrastructure within the road allowance.
Do residents have a say?
Yes. Any installation on private property needs to be authorized by private property owners. With your permission, Fibre Connect will install a fibre optic line from the main network along the street to the outside of your home or business. Ledcor Technical Services and Fibre Connect representatives are visiting homes and businesses to seek permission.
