KELOWNA – NAI Commercial Okanagan has the Okanagan, Thompson and Kootenay region covered when it comes to commercial, industrial and revenue producing real estate.
“We encompass all real estate business solutions from landlord and tenant representation, leasing, consulting, office-retail-industrial, and investment sales,” says Senior Administrator and Realtor Anita Barnett. “We specialize in all these areas. Our office has over 85 years of combined real estate experience, and we have market insight and knowledge of the profession, along with good relationships with landlords and tenants.”
NAI Commercial Okanagan opened offices in Kelowna and Kamloops in 2016 and have since added an office in Vernon. NAI stands for North American Investments, with the head office in NY, NY.
“We go all the way to the Kootenays and Osoyoos,” she says. “We just completed a deal in Ashcroft, and we’ve done deals in Nakusp and Nelson.”

NAI Commercial Okanagan is a full service commercial real estate brokerage, and their transaction and advisory services include sales and leasing brokerage for property owners, buyer and tenant representation, property and facility management, business brokerage and consulting.
There were three founding members of the office, and two remaining, Mike Geddes and Tony Parmar, are principals. Larry Good is the managing broker, with over 40 years’ experience in the B.C. Real estate industry.
“Mike has been busy working on land assemblies, and he just finalized one in Kelowna where the City of Kelowna and a large local developer purchased. Larry finalized an industrial deal in Kamloops that has a huge industrial building sold and then Larry tenanted shortly after the sale,” Anita notes. “We help offices across the country if they need tenant representation in the certain city, we help reach out to other NAI offices across the country and help each other out that way. There was an office lease deal at the Landmark building in Kelowna that we worked with the company’s parent office in Montreal on, and Mike helped with that.”

Anita started in commercial real estate in Calgary and moved to the Okanagan in 2006, and helped her husband Dr. Jeff Barnett, open his Orchard Chiropractic and Physiotherapy. “I took a break from real estate and helped my husband and his business partner to expand his office and managed it,” she recalls. “I got back into real estate with NAI Commercial Okanagan once his office was running smoothly.”
NAI Commercial Okanagan has grown steadily over the years, due to the people inside the office and their contacts outside.
“We have good relationships with landlords,” Anita says. “We are very knowledgeable about the history of particular properties and are known for our ability to listen to our clients and hear what they really need, and listening to what they say and want. We are able to zero down on what their operations really need.”
“We have grown consistently because we have high standard for our professionals,” she adds. “We are really selective on who we have on our team. We’re not opposed to having more team members, we just need to make sure we have the right ones.”
