COMOX – Diversification has been the driving force behind the success of CTS Coastal Transportation & Storage Ltd.
Craig Skene and his wife Lisa Pedersen-Skene founded the company in 2008 when they purchased the reefer division of Comox Moving & Storage.
“By diversifying our services in this manner, we have created a competitive advantage by becoming a comprehensive logistics and transportation provider,” says Craig, noting their growth has been aided by the addition of new business partner Cole Logan. “This positions our company to capture a broader share of the market and adapt to changing customer demands and industry trends.
“Diversification also helps mitigate risks associated with dependence on a single service or industry, contributing to the long-term sustainability and success of our business.”
Expanded services include adding a second warehouse in Lantzville to serve central Island customers, and they also offer mechanical repairs inside their commercially licensed facility.

It reflects our commitment to building a resilient and enduring business that can adapt to changing market conditions and continue serving our clients effectively.”
The company remains dedicated to the plan of gradual, calculated growth to ensure the long-term success of the firm.
“We have an unwavering focus on providing excellent products and services, combined with exceptional customer service, that has fostered strong customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth referrals,” Craig states, adding their team members practice strict adherence to industry regulations, and they are CORE certified through WorkSafe BC. “Our dedication to team building and looking after our team and their families not only enhances the work environment but also plays a significant role in long-term success and sustainability of our company.
