KELOWNA – Pushor Mitchell LLP is pleased to announce that one of its lawyers, Joni Metherell, has been named Managing Partner for the firm.
Joni started at the law firm in 1994 as an articling student and became a Partner in 2001. Responsibilities of the role over the three-year term include working closely with the other Partners and Associates to guide the strategic direction of the firm, implementing organizational goals and working with all department managers on day-to-day operations.
Joni brings with her significant experience in civil litigation in all the courts of British Columbia. Her areas of legal practice include wills, trusts and estate litigation, as well as property and easement disputes. “I am proud to be part of such an upstanding firm with a team of dedicated lawyers and staff that not only provide excellent service to our clients but also care deeply about our community,” says Joni Metherell. “I want to acknowledge and thank our previous Managing Partner Andrew Brunton for his years in the role, especially with the challenges of the pandemic. And, I am particularly excited to take on this role in the start of Pushor Mitchell’s 50th anniversary year,” she adds.
Joni has given back to the community from the start of her career and is currently on the board of the Central Okanagan Hospice Association and Central Okanagan Hospice Association Foundation.
