VICTORIA – A variety of personalities and skill sets under one virtual roof have been the keys to success for the Britton Real Estate Group under the eXp Realty banner.
Their team includes successful realtors and ancillary companies that helps agents prepare their properties for market, notes Tracey Brown, who is the Business Manager and Assistant to Layne Britton “From realtors, suppliers and critical real estate partnerships, nothing is off limits. The Britton Real Estate Group is embracing independent agents to all share and grow together, and we benefit from each other’s successes.” The Collaborative Movement was always a goal and was kicked into high gear with their move to eXp Realty last year.
Hardip Johal joined the Britton Group a year ago, and notes “Our group is unique. We are more like a family than colleagues. “Being amongst a group of professionals like this is very rewarding,” Hardip observes. “Whenever anyone has a question, there is always someone with an answer for you. This comes from the combination of eagerness to help and with many years of experience.”
Lisa Forbes, known as half of the Forbes & Marshall team along with her husband Michael that entertained Greater Victoria on the radio for many years, moved into real estate in 2015 and joined eXp Realty last November.

Elysia Allen has been a real estate agent for over two years and is intent on providing education and information for her clients.
“We are in a virtual world,” she states. “I invest in my clients with professional marketing packages in the selling of their properties. I provide individual custom websites for each property with professional photography, lifestyle/neighbourhood video, virtual Matterport tours, and colour floor plans. First impressions are everything!”
Ruth Hopkinson has been a realtor for 14 years, and joined eXp Realty in 2021, and is a world champion in Women’s Bodybuilding.
“My dedication and perseverance to become a world class athlete has garnered me the passion and commitment it takes to achieve success. Each day I use these same skills to assist my clients to achieve their own home buying or home selling success.”
Ria Giatsios is the co-owner, lead cinematographer, editor and producer for the Spartan Media Group, which prepares listings for the marketplace.
“We pride ourselves in creating unique videos that complement a real estate agent’s brand while showcasing their listing for maximum results,” Ria states. “We have built strong relationships with our clients and they put their trust in us to highlight who they are as an agent and be able to attract more clients through video and social media marketing. This allows us to be creative and produce video and photo content that helps them stand out from the rest.”
Karyn Stepien, formerly from the events industry, owns Proper Measure, which creates high quality, accurate floor plans and virtual tours for clients.
“Our floor plans and virtual tours are popular because we measure on-site, giving accurate dimensions and allow for a fast turnaround time for our clients listings,” Karyn states. “Virtual tours are excellent for buyers who can’t be nearby.”
Jamie Stange started Simple Space Maker to “take my love of design, real estate and construction knowledge and create a property concierge service so I could meet the needs of real estate professionals, clients by bringing this knowledge under one umbrella.”
