COMOX VALLEY – The month of April brings changes to our board at the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce. We will see David Rooper move into the role of Past Chair, and Caroline Cody move into the position of Chair for the 2022-2023 year.
During his term, David contributed much to the Chamber and to the upgrading of the board’s knowledge of governing. This past fall, the board held a governance workshop and refreshed their skills. Thanks David, for your expertise, your dedication, and your exemplary leadership. It is much appreciated.
While in his role as Chair, David also managed to catch the eye of the BC Hotelier’s Association, bringing home the BC Hoteliers award! What a great win for David, the Old House Hotel & Spa team, and our community! What wonderful news as we emerge from a pandemic and swing open our doors this spring and summer.
Adding to the existing board make up are Susan Carson of Richardson Wealth, and Major Allison Dymond of 19 Wing Comox. Both Susan and Allison are looking forward to their roles as Directors on the Comox Valley Chamber Board. We will also wish many thanks to Bill Anglin, Naomi Carmichael, Andrea Dawe and Laurie Shambrook as they complete their terms on the board.
