Sam grew up in Victoria where he developed a passion for architecture and urbanism. He began his career in commercial real estate at Canada ICI Capital and then at Colliers International, gaining experience in acquisition, apartment, and construction financing. Taking that foundation of knowledge and pursuing his interest in development, he was hired by Abstract Developments, a national award-winning custom-home builder and developer.
At Abstract, Sam grew into the role of Vice President of Development and Partner, leading the development team through the acquisition and management of projects with values reaching upwards of $100 million. In 2018 Sam co-founded Curate Developments in Victoria, BC, where he is also excited to be raising his family. His passion for design and disciplined analytical approach are establishing Curate as a respected and sought-after development company.
