COMOX VALLEY – The Comox Valley Airport Commission (CVAC) board of directors recently elected its board of directors.
The board announced Martin Crilly will serve as chair, Wendy Lewis, CPA as treasurer, Joseph Schommer as secretary and Richard Clark will remain as vice-chair.
Martin Crilly is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation who also works as a consultant in transport planning and policy. He has served as the first BC Ferries Commissioner for the past eight years and has been a director with CVAC since 2016. Wendy Lewis, CPA is a partner with MNP who specializes in small- and medium-sized business accounting.
Joseph Schommer is a licensed Professional Community Planner with 37 years of municipal planning experience, including serving as a Director of Planning and Sustainability with the City of Regina. Richard Clark has 37 years of public sector experience and is a former Director at the Ontario Ministry of Government Services and the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Business Services.
Incoming executive will serve a two year term in their positions.
The Comox Valley Airport Commission is the governing authority for the operation of the Comox Valley Airport. The nine-member Commission is broadly representative of the Comox Valley community and its members are nominated by the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, the Village of Cumberland, the Comox Valley Regional District, the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Comox Valley Economic Development Society.
