Tourism Victoria Announces 2017 Board of Directors

GREATER VICTORIA – Tourism Victoria is pleased to announce its 2017 Board of Directors.

Christine Willow, a Principal with Chemistry Consulting and Chief Operating Officer of GT Hiring Solutions, will join the board, effective Jan. 1, 2017. The other new face on the board will be Victoria Councillor Chris Coleman, appointed as the city’s representative for 2017.

“Our board continues to provide a strategy-focused approach to governance and the strong leadership needed to allow our organization to maximize our potential to promote and strengthen the tourism sector in Greater Victoria,” said Paul Nursey, President and CEO of Tourism Victoria.

“We are wellequipped for the challenges ahead as we embrace our rapid growth and ensure the long-term sustainability of our region as a year-round destination. We had an exceptionally strong year in 2016 and the board congratulates and supports the great work being done by Tourism Victoria’s management team,” said Bill Lewis, Chair of Tourism Victoria.

“We want to build on that momentum and the efficiencies gained by our renewed relationship with the City of Victoria, as well as opportunities created by taking on sales and marketing of the Victoria Conference Centre.”
