100 MILE HOUSE – News from the South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce!!

October 16th – 22nd is Small Business Week in BC. The South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce, The District of 100 Mile House and the Province of BC are collaborating to undertake our first annual Business Walk in 100 Mile House.

On October 19th between 9:00am to 12:00pm selected volunteers will visit up to a 100 businesses in a geographic chosen area and present a short survey to business owners regarding their experiences in doing business in the South Cariboo. Survey results will help us help you in business. If your business is outside the area that we are visiting please contact the South Cariboo Chamber office or District of 100 Mile House office to complete the survey at a later date.

Small businesses make up a major part of the South Cariboo’s business community and play a critical role in driving local economy and creating jobs. It’s time to celebrate the hard working entrepreneurs with the same spirit as they bring to our community. As the Chamber Committee starts to gear up for our Business Excellence Awards in the spring, it’s time for you to think about your favourite small businesses.

The Chamber has recently completed an update on the bylaws of the Chamber and will present to the members for their vote on at a Special General Meeting in November.

The Chamber would also like to welcome our newest members Green Sisters, Mr. T Contracting, Triquetra Therapeutic Services, Trinity Post & Panel, Ultimate Promotions, Three R’s Construction, Napa Auto Parts & Andruk Enterprises.

Membership Drive for 2017 membership will begin in November. If you are interested in taking advantage of the many Chamber benefits please contact the South Cariboo Chamber Office and I will visit you.
